Watch the Pan-American Health Organization's virtual launch of the series The Decade of Healthy Aging in the Americas: situation and challenges. This dynamic series will allow stakeholders to know what is the situation, challenges and opportunities in the Region of the Americas regarding aging and older persons. 

The series, divided into four parts, covers different dimensions of population aging and the demographic situation; the state of health and aging; each of the areas of action of the Decade; and, finally, some special articles related to emerging and little-discussed issues regarding the older population. 

The event featured opening remarks by the Director of PAHO, Dr. Jarbas Barbosa, and the participation of the authorities of the agencies and organizations of the Inter-American system and the United Nations system that worked on its publication, within the framework of the Decade of Healthy Aging (2021-2030): OAS, IADB, ECLAC, UNFPA and ITU.
